Date: February 18, 2018
Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST
Program: 2:00 PM at 34 N. Main Captain Kidd’s Mill, the Potato Switch, and Crooked Creek Road A book written and presented by John Wagner Which stories from our past stick with us? Why? John Wagner has been puzzled by these questions, and he'll be taking us on his journey to find answers. He will take us back to the early days on the White Pigeon Prairie where he grew up. He'll share how his early memories helped jumpstart his quest. John has been digging--(literally) in the dirt, searching maps, quizzing everyone--which has led him to ask even more questions like "Was there a village called 'Crooked Creek?'" He has also found many other stories and characters to share with us, like Captain Kidd. John never really thought of himself as an historian or an author, but life surprises us all. Who knows, maybe someone in our audience will help him come up with another clue or another story? Come join us and find out. This photo shows the one lane steel & Plank Bridge, which crossed the Fawn River, just a short distance North of Captain Kidd’s Mill.
